Assistant.to powers your Gmail scheduling potential.

Assistant.to is something I recently read about in Sandy Martini’s Get It Done Right print newsletter.

Sandy is a friend and colleague, and if you aren’t already familiar with her work, do yourself a favor and check out her website at www.TheMartiniWay.com.

So, needless to say, when I read about something in Sandy’s newsletter, I am interested.

Assistant.to — what does it do?

In a nutshell, this is a scheduling application that works with Gmail and Google Calendar. It’s a helpful addition to your on-line toolbox. Here’s how it works:

  • After downloading and enabling Assistant.to, open Gmail and create a new email.
  • Next, click the icon that you see at the bottom right of the window.
  • Select the meeting duration, the location, and add your calendar description.
  • Then you decide which times you want to offer, based on the schedule display that Assistant.to presents.
  • After that, click “Insert Times into Email” and they’re added.
  • Next you send the email.
  • Recipients click the time that works for them.
  • Then the app adds the meeting to your calendar.
  • Next, it sends recipients a calendar invitation and booking confirmation.

And it’s all integrated with Google Calendar.
