Dropbox is a ubiquitous file-sharing and productivity tool that recently added some very nice improvements.
If you’ve used this cloud-based tool in the past, you know that it’s an excellent venue for file-sharing, and for finding time.
Dropbox is used by individuals and businesses of all sizes, and there are both free and paid versions of this product. Users can share files with others, even if they don’t have a Dropbox account.
In addition, multiple users can comment on files and collaborate with Microsoft Office and also, now, with Dropbox Paper.
Dropbox Paper for Collaboration
Dropbox Paper lets you and your team collaborate no matter where you are. And you can communicate and share information in a wide variety of formats. Simple and speedy, this tool makes it very easy to keep your team in sync.
You can see who’s viewed your project files, and there’s space for people to make comments, reply to questions, etc.
The video below gives you a taste of what’s possible.
Smart Sync is another of the recent enhancements.
It’s a feature that’s available to Business users and it’s very helpful for saving space on your hard drive. With Smart Sync, you can:
- Choose if individual files or folders are available online-only or locally on your computer
- Select a default sync setting for new files and folders that are shared with you.
What this means in practice is that, with this feature, you’ll be able to access every file and folder in your Dropbox account from your computer, and hardly use any space on your hard drive.
The video below gives you an idea of how it could work for you.
