Topping the list was a post about a time tracking tool called Rescue Time. This is a powerful and flexible tool that allows you to see exactly how you spend your time – so that you can then make informed choices.

You can use Rescue Time to track how and where you spend your time on the computer, as well as to track off-line time. The nice thing about the on-line tracking function is that once you have set up Rescue Time, it does the tracking for you. There is nothing you need to record. And this means that you get a much better picture than would be otherwise possible, of how you are actually spending your on-line time.

The second most popular post in April was actually shared in March – and is another Cyber Monday post. This one is titled “Find Time with Zamzar and Evernote Clearly on Cyber Monday” and offered information about two more time-saving tools. Zamzar is a file conversion service, while what Clearly does is change “web-based material to a wonderfully readable (and printable) format. You activate Clearly with a bookmarklet that you drag to your Bookmarks Bar, and then click it to create a customizable, highly readable version of whatever you are viewing on the web. You can even adjust the font size!

Find Time to Accept Yourself and Transform Your Time with Empowered Compassion™ was the third top post for April and offers powerful, heart-based advice for revolutionizing your relationship with time.

Finding Time to accept all of who you are is a gentle, deliberate process that will transform your time and give you a solid base for action. That’s because being your most productive self, your most empowered self, means being your WHOLE self. And that’s where Empowered Compassion™ comes in.

April’s 4th most-read post offered practical ideas for incorporating movement into your daily life. Find Time for “Movement Moments” in Your Day! is all about making sure that we pay attention to our body’s need to move … and reap the benefits.

If you spend a lot of time working on-line, your day might easily have you glued to the computer hour upon hour. It can be engrossing work, but in order to be productive and take good care of yourself, it’s imperative that you find time to move.

And last but not least, “Find Time for These Cool Tools for Pinterest!” was another Cyber Monday post that found its way into your top 5.

Pinterest continues to be one of the fastest-growing social networking sites – currently in third place behind Facebook and Twitter. And now, developers are creating all sorts of applications that can help you pin more easily, find people with similar interests more quickly, and analyze your Pinterest influence. All of these enhancements are interesting and helpful – and they can be crucial if you are interested in using Pinterest for your business.

Was your favorite post here? I’d love to hear what YOU resonated to. Just take 5-minutes and let me know! ;>)

And are you interested in learning more about the Heart-Based Time Management™ Path? Here’s one way that you can transform and deepen your relationship to time in the Heart-Based Way … I invite you to explore Secrets of Heart-Based Time Management™ – my chapter in the book I co-authored - Stepping Stones to Success! In it I share my proven system for exploring and harnessing the power of your mind, your body and your spirit to help you deepen your experience of time and of your life.

It lets me look back and get a better sense of what you are looking for, as I plan posts for the coming month. And it’s also an opportunity to reflect and bid a grateful farewell to time past, while looking ahead with anticipation!

So, what posts ranked as your Time Finder Favorites for March? Well, our Time and Technology posts shared on Cyber Monday’s were a big hit this past month, with 3 posts making it into the top 5!

Find Time with Zamzar and Evernote Clearly on Cyber Monday ranked #1 and offered two time-saving tools that can both help you be more productive on-line. You can read the post for the details, but here are two quick bullet-points:

Zamzar is an online file conversion service that offers both free and paid options. Files can be converted on the web or via e-mail, and there is a quite extensive list of conversion options.

Evernote Clearly is a web-based tool that is part of the Evernote collection of products. It converts web-based material to a wonderfully readable (and printable) format.

Coming in at #2 was Find Time to Take Charge of Your E-mail (So That It Doesn’t Take Charge of You)! I don’t know anyone for whom the in-box doesn’t present a daily challenge. And that’s especially true if you are an on-line entrepreneur. This post offers some concrete, actionable tips for getting your in-box under control. Ready to start?

Establishing and maintaining time boundaries is one of the keys – and the other involves creating a system for organizing the e-mails that you receive to make them accessible – while housing them someplace other than your in-box.

Find Time for AutoHotKey and … Find More Time! was the third most-read post last month. If you haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend this tool. It may look daunting at first, but it’s actually simple to use and can be very helpful, especially with repetitive on-line tasks.

According to my VA, who has explored it extensively, this tool is extremely easy to customize and saves her untold amounts of time.

Find Time to Recover: 3 Keys for Healing and Resilience was a popular post prompted by my recovery from a bad bout of the flu, and focusing on what resilience is (and isn’t)!

It is especially important to remember that resilience is a process not a character trait! Indeed, the last thing you need when going through a tough time is to feel that you are somehow flawed because you are not bouncing back fast enough!

And last, but not least by any stretch, came Find Time for Empowered Compassion™ – a topic that is near and dear to my heart, and a foundational part of Heart-Based Time Management™.

When you bring compassion to any situation you make it possible to also bring your full and authentic presence to it. Accepting YOU, you can let yourself BE! And starting from that solid and real foundation, anything becomes possible.

Is your favorite Time Finder post listed here? Are there subjects that you’d like me to write more about? Please feel invited to drop me a line – I’d love to hear from you and serve your time finding needs!

And in the meantime, want to learn more about how you can expand and deepen your time and efforts … in whatever areas you choose? Here’s a great way to explore avenues to increasing your time skills and heart-based power – whether it’s in your business, or your personal life. I am so pleased to be able to offer my expertise and support as The Official SelfGrowth.com Guide to “Time Management”.

Topping the list was a post from the very first Day of February titled Find Time to Travel Back to Your “Time Roots” for Clarity and Freedom! that initiated our exploration of the time legacies that we all carry. In the post, I shared an exercise for uncovering your time legacies, and noted …

Some of your discoveries might feel bittersweet. But remember, even as you see the losses, they ultimately lead to greater freedom! Remember that the more compassion you feel as you view your family’s time choices (and yours), the more possibilities open up to you.

Next on your list of favorites was Find Time to “Hear” the Actions Beneath the Words – a post about the mixed messages that can be a confusing and very powerful part of our time legacies.

Did Mom and Dad’s actions match their words? Or did “What I say” and “What I do” contradict one another? It’s quite helpful to explore this, for one very compelling reason: Mixed messages speak loudest.

Find Time to Put a Little Love in Your Heart was our post on Valentine’s Day – and one of your Time Finder Favorites for February. Thsi post focused on compassion and the power it brings to your life. It contains one of my very favorite, foundational messages about compassion:

A heart that holds compassion can hold anything!

Self care was also on the minds of readers of The Time Finder this month, as Finding Time to Nourish Yourself ranked quite high among the posts visited.

I like to think of nourishment as what keeps me going – whether it’s food, silence, companionship, exercise … or any combination of these things. What nourishes me energizes and sustains me, no matter what challenges come my way.

What do you find nourishing, and how do you find time to nourish yourself?

And last but most definitely not least was a Cyber Monday post about a new search tool Find Time to Find What You Need on the Web with RTBot This Cyber Monday. Finding what you’re looking for on the web isn’t always as straight-forward as we’d like …

That’s why I was interested to learn about RTBot, a new information service whose stated goal is to “simplify the access to information and content stored in different sites, reducing the time it takes to find relevant and fresh information on the internet.”

So, how do you find what you need? Give yourself what you need? Here at The Time Finder we’d like to know how we can help, so drop me a line – I’d love to hear!

Here’s a sampling of our top posts from the past month, based on YOUR votes (visits)!

Finding Time for Google Plus – Timely Resources This Cyber Monday came in at #1 – just as it seems to be doing on the web! Have you tried it yet? What do you think of it?

With the power of Google behind it, it’s hard to see how anyone wanting to boost his or her presence on the web could NOT jump on the Google Plus bandwagon. While there remain controversies about how Google Plus is embedded in Google search results, it seems clear that this is a social-networking tool that is going to stick around (unlike some earlier attempts by Google).

Self Care was the topic for our second-most-read post: Find Time to Give Yourself Exactly What You Need Every Single Day!

How often do you feel like you’re running against a stopwatch and depleting yourself in the process?

Don’t you sometimes wish that someone would come along and give you whatever it is that you need in that moment?

Well, the good news is, that “someone” is YOU!

Find Time to Nourish Your Courage with Love: Today’s Timely Tip was your third favorite post, followed closely by some other courage posts:

Find Time to Build Your Brave Muscles With a Daily Courage Workout

Find Time to Cultivate Courage-Today’s Timely Tip

Find Time and Courage to Move Ahead by Letting Go: 3 Timely Tips

Here’s one timely passage from that last post – about moving ahead by letting go. A thought for today:

Finding time is all about saying No to one thing to say Yes to another, as I often say. The No that you say to one thing is what actually makes your Yes to something else possible, and meaningful. It’s all about how you make your time choices.

So, let’s pause for a moment. How do you feel about your time choices so far today? Don’t come from a critical place or you’ll clam up. Just let yourself feel.

Are there choices you’d like to change? Most of us are going to say yes to that … but before you start thinking about how you want to change those choices, let’s pause again.

Ask yourself, what is it that, for YOU, leads you to want to change how you use your time?

Want to learn more about how you can expand and deepen your time and efforts … in whatever areas you choose? Here’s a great way to explore avenues to increasing your time skills and heart-based power – whether it’s in your business, or your personal life. I am so pleased to be able to offer my expertise and support as The Official SelfGrowth.com Guide to “Time Management”.

So, what Time Finder posts piqued your interest in December?

Topping the list was a tech tip from early December titled Find Time to Explore the New and Improved Google Analytics: Timely Resources. If you didn’t catch it, you will want to take a look, because the old version of Analytics was slated to no longer be available after 1/1/12.

So, now is the perfect time to delve into this powerful tool, learn about the new-and-improved version, and make sure that you have everything set up properly on the blogs and websites that you want to track.

If perfectionism is something that trips you up, you will want to check out our #2 post – Find Time to Free Yourself from the Perfectionism Trap-Your Heart Holds the Keys! – and explore the powerful keys that you hold in your hands.

Beating perfectionism means knowing in your heart of hearts that you are plenty good enough and that what you create and offer to the world from your heart is a gift to be cherished!

The third top post for December was a fascinating look at going paperless. If this is something you’re considering as you start the New Year, read Finding Time to Go Paperless: De-clutter with 3 Time and Productivity Tips to get started.

Many of the advantages of going paperless are self-evident. It cuts down on clutter, may help reduce your carbon footprint, and can make it easier to find important documents. However, finding time to move in a paperless direction necessitates making some fundamental changes in the ways that you work.

The next post in our list of December favorites was Find Time to Thrive by Focusing on Your Minutes to Optimize Your Hours! It’s a new look at how you can use your time optimally and move through overwhelm easily …

As you use your minutes to achieve small goals, you’ll find that your larger goals are accomplished in your hours. And you will be amazed at how this reduces your stress, worry and bother!

And last but not least, there were several posts with holiday advice that will serve you well no matter what time of year it is. Check out 3 Heart-Based Time Management™ Tips to Help You Find Time for a Lion-Hearted Holiday! and learn why courage is key to finding time …

Courage offers clarity and confidence. When you let your heart guide you, your sense of direction is clear. You can enter the whirlwind of the season with your feet firmly planted on the ground. Your sense of self-worth centers you and your clarity gives you direction as you make time choices.

One last bit of news that I’m so pleased to share, as I look back at 2011, is that The Time Finder was, for the second year in a row, featured as one of the Top 50 Productivity Blogs of 2011 by Evan Carmichael. We are excited about this terrific honor … and privileged to be part of Evan Carmichael’s fantastic collection of productivity blogs. We have posted the badge in our sidebar, so that you can visit the collection whenever you want – it’s an excellent resource for productivity ideas, information and tools.

And if you are interested in learning more about the Heart-Based Path, here’s one way that you can transform and deepen your relationship to time in the Heart-Based Way … I invite you to explore Secrets of Heart-Based Time Management™ – my chapter in the book I co-authored - Stepping Stones to Success! In it I share my proven system for exploring and harnessing the power of your mind, your body and your spirit to help you deepen your experience of time and of your life.

In keeping with that heart-based sentiment, we always pause, as a new month begins, to look back at the blog posts that readers were drawn to in the previous month.

The top post for November was an empowering piece from early in the month titled “Finding Time To Know That Nothing is Lost.”

You see, it’s not what happens (or has happened) that matters, in the end. No, what defines us and shapes our path is how we respond along the way.

Next, coming in a close second, was one of our technological posts – this one about Posterous – titled “Find Time to Share Your Posts With the New and Improved Posterous.” It enumerated some changes and improvements in Posterous, along with the introduction of Posterous Spaces:

Private sharing is part of what has driven these changes in Posterous. You can create spaces for sharing with family, with friends, with work groups. For online entrepreneurs, you might consider developing spaces for sharing teleclass material, product lines, you name it!

We invited readers, in November, to develop a morning ritual for themselves. There were several posts that focused on this, and “Find Time to Create a Morning Ritual: The Heart-Based Way to Start Your Day!” was one that was especially popular.

Finding time to balance your energies is especially potent as you start your day. That’s why I warmly recommend that you create a morning ritual for yourself.

It needn’t be long or complex to be effective. What it provides is powerful grounding and a much-needed boost. Even 5, 10 or 15 minutes can help, so don’t tell yourself there’s not enough time … there is!

Gratitude was much on our minds here in the States, as we celebrated Thanksgiving and were warmed by appreciation for life’s gifts. “Find Time for Gifts, Gratitude, and One Timely Tip for Busy Times” offered a very practical tip for navigating time challenges during the holiday season:

Tip: Compassionate curiosity can clarify priority conflicts in your schedule.

Action Step: Identify which time choices reflect your ambivalence about what matters most, and invite a friendly “conversation” amongst your options to arrive at a satisfying resolution.

And last (but not least) came a post from October that we loved then … and love still. It’s titled “Finding Time for Feelings: It’s The Heart-Based Way” and it offers an excellent introduction to heart-based time management:

Finding time for feelings is as key a time management skill as you can ever develop. And yet, this is a subject that is rarely discussed in time management circles. I think that is because feelings are seen as “soft” and subjective — not measurable or scientific.

When you approach time management in a heart-based way, you include all the parts of you — mind, body, emotions, and spirit — in the equation. And that adds up to a lot!
