If you’re a Gmail or Office 365 user, Astro works in both the Android and the iOS environment. Once you enable it, it will link to your account, scan your e-mails, and offer sage advice about how to manage them.

I first read about Astro in this post on lifehacker.  When you download the app, you’re quickly connected, via a chat-like interface, with the digital assistant, or chatbot.

This is where the magic happens, as your friendly chatbot helps you declutter your inbox and focus on important messages. Here’s a taste of what Astro does:

• Quickly apply tools like Snooze, Unsubscribe, Send Later, Email Open and Reply Tracking, Priority Inbox, Mute, Customizable Notifications, and more
• Receive suggestions about what you might want to unsubscribe from, what to archive, and who to make a VIP, all based on your habits and usage.
• If you’re an Alexa user, you’ll be able to integrate with Astro to manage your inbox hands-free.

Your personal assistant…

Interacting with Astrobot, your personal chatbot assistant, you’ll be able to:

• Declutter your inbox,
• Make sure you don’t miss important e-mails, and
• Receive reminders about e-mails, questions, and follow-up. items.

Astrobot also recognizes hundreds of questions and comments.

Once you’ve downloaded the app and have it set up, it can function as your inbox.
