Your new path opens before you. What will you bring?
Everything is new again.
Making a new beginning is marked by a feeling of anticipation and maybe a little nervousness. It’s also marked by a letting go of things you don’t need for the next step of your journey.
That’s because stepping into the new always means ending something.
And by the same token, marking an ending always means beginning something.
As T.S. Eliot wrote in “Little Gidding”:
For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.
So, as I step into 2017, one of the things I do is look back over the days that have come before. I reflect and honor what they held, what was accomplished as they passed, and the lessons learned along the way.
New Lessons Come the Hard Way Sometimes
Here at The Time Finder we began the year with lots of new learnings. In March, we were hacked and the site went down.
This happened at the worst possible time. We were about to fire our e-zine AND launch a new product. (The product was “Why Perfectionists Aren’t Perfect” and you can learn more about it by clicking the link.)
The whole episode taught us many helpful lessons, both about how to shore up our security and about dealing with sudden change. Hacked: Dealing with Sudden Change on the Web takes you through parts of that experience.
If you’re someone who relies on the internet in any way in your life, I advise you to think about your on-line security as you enter 2017. Shoring up your on-line boundaries is time well spent — always.
Boundaries the Heart-Based Way
And speaking of boundaries, we launched another brand new product in mid-November. It focuses on developing and maintaining your boundary-setting skills. That’s a subject that is very dear to my heart.
Strong boundaries are foundational to your time success, and I feel so strongly about this that I’ve written hundreds of blog posts and articles on the subject. Boundary-setting really is “Your Secret Power.” When you click the link, you’ll learn everything you need to know about activating this power for yourself.
Sharpening your boundary skills helps you in untold ways as you move ahead into this new year you’re creating for yourself.
What’s Coming in 2017?
One thing I’ve noticed this past year is that people are very, very busy and appreciate receiving information in bite-sized pieces. I think that’s why our Weekly Time Tips are so popular. And we’ve received lots of positive feedback on the e-courses that accompanied our last two E-Guide Books.
So, as I look ahead to 2017, I am excited to be planning a new launch — most likely for sometime in early spring — that will offer my materials in a new format that takes these preferences into account.
That’s always my goal — to share heart-based time management information with you in the ways that work best for you.
So, here’s to your time success in 2017…
