Culling to Find Focus — Try It Today

Let go and focus
Culling helps you focus…

Finding and maintaining focus is a huge challenge for most of us.

Surrounded by a swirl of priorities and responsibilities, how do you manage to stick with just one? Everything seems to be clamoring for attention at once.

Indeed, some days do you feel like you just rush from one task to the next without a plan? And without the space to pause and make one?

A dose of reality…

Well, the basis for much of this feeling is one simple fact: time is finite.  We struggle with that reality because our interests and our responsibilities are NOT finite. In fact, they constantly push at the boundaries of time, reminding us that time is not elastic.

It helps if you think of your time as a basket. Then you can easily see how, when it’s full-to-overflowing, important things will fall out.

So, your challenge is to take charge of that basket. Otherwise, it’s easy for your goals and values to get lost in the shuffle.

Culling helps…

Like decluttering or weeding, culling the items you’ve added to your basket of time is key to your success.

Removing something, while it is a loss, is also a relief. It clarifies your priorities and your path. Moving ahead, you feel moe focused and more in charge of her time.

what you must give up before you get it.”

How about you?

So, I invite you to take a look at your basket of time today. Are there things you can cull?  You’ll be putting your priorities into action by the simple act of letting go of something less important. The choices you make create space for sharpened focus and enhanced energy.

And the good news is you can always tweak and revise as you go. Remember, YOU’RE in charge.

Make a list and start by letting go of something small. And let me know how it goes.  I’d love to hear.
