Find Time to Appreciate November's Time Finder Favorites as We Welcome December!

Finding time to appreciate the past while embracing the present and planning for the future is an excellent way to stay in sync with yourself as you journey through life.

In keeping with that heart-based sentiment, we always pause, as a new month begins, to look back at the blog posts that readers were drawn to in the previous month.

The top post for November was an empowering piece from early in the month titled “Finding Time To Know That Nothing is Lost.”

You see, it’s not what happens (or has happened) that matters, in the end. No, what defines us and shapes our path is how we respond along the way.

Next, coming in a close second, was one of our technological posts – this one about Posterous – titled “Find Time to Share Your Posts With the New and Improved Posterous.”  It enumerated some changes and improvements in Posterous, along with the introduction of Posterous Spaces:

Private sharing is part of what has driven these changes in Posterous. You can create spaces for sharing with family, with friends, with work groups. For online entrepreneurs, you might consider developing spaces for sharing teleclass material, product lines, you name it!

We invited readers, in November, to develop a morning ritual for themselves.  There were several posts that focused on this, and “Find Time to Create a Morning Ritual: The Heart-Based Way to Start Your Day!” was one that was especially popular.

Finding time to balance your energies is especially potent as you start your day. That’s why I warmly recommend that you create a morning ritual for yourself.

It needn’t be long or complex to be effective. What it provides is powerful grounding and a much-needed boost. Even 5, 10 or 15 minutes can help, so don’t tell yourself there’s not enough time … there is!

Gratitude was much on our minds here in the States, as we celebrated Thanksgiving and were warmed by appreciation for life’s gifts.  “Find Time for Gifts, Gratitude, and One Timely Tip for Busy Times” offered a very practical tip for navigating time challenges during the holiday season:

Tip: Compassionate curiosity can clarify priority conflicts in your schedule.

Action Step: Identify which time choices reflect your ambivalence about what matters most, and invite a friendly “conversation” amongst your options to arrive at a satisfying resolution.

And last (but not least) came a post from October that we loved then … and love still.  It’s titled “Finding Time for Feelings: It’s The Heart-Based Way” and it offers an excellent introduction to heart-based time management:

Finding time for feelings is as key a time management skill as you can ever develop. And yet, this is a subject that is rarely discussed in time management circles. I think that is because feelings are seen as “soft” and subjective — not measurable or scientific.

When you approach time management in a heart-based way, you include all the parts of you — mind, body, emotions, and spirit — in the equation. And that adds up to a lot!
