Find Time to Keep Track of Just About Everything … in a Nutshell

Last week I read a post by Deborah Smith titled “5 of My Favorite Free Internet Tools.”  Highlighting one tool, she wrote as follows: “I use NutshellMail to catch up on the latest news and updates from my multiple accounts. What I think is the most attractive feature is the lack of clutter and distraction. No ads, events, or polls to divert your attention. It allows you to quickly scan your news feeds for interesting content and respond or share and get back to business.”

I was intrigued enough by NutshellMail to want to give it a try.  Here’s what this powerful tool does (in a nutshell):

With NutshellMail from Constant Contact, you can now stay connected with everything your customers are saying about you—at a single glance. Email, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn and more—simplify your social media life by viewing it all from your inbox.

As you’ll see from the video below, it’s very easy to set up an account and manage things like the number of times you want to receive e-mails, etc.  One of the things that I most like about this service is that the e-mail serves as a prompt.  You don’t need to remind yourself to check your Twitter Feed or your Facebook updates; NutshellMail takes care of that.

You can choose the social networking venues that you want to follow, and also customize what you see for those different platforms.  Here are just a few of the custom settings that you can choose for Twitter:

  • See your new followers and/or new quitters;
  • See your DM’s, @ Replies, and/or latest tweets;
  • Specify search terms or hashtags that you want to follow; and
  • Specify lists that you want to follow (both your own lists and others’).

And within all of these categories, you can also specify how many items you want to see.

When you receive your e-mail, you can take action on items, replying, liking, adding comments, retweeting, etc. – all right from your inbox.

I suggest that you take a look at NutshellMail for yourself; you may find it a tool that you want to add to your on-line toolbox.  Here at The Time Finder we’ve found it to be an easy and time-saving addition!
