Find Time to Spice It Up Considerably With Spicynodes Software

Finding time to creatively depict your ideas, or to make your web content more accessible to your readers, is always time well spent.  In January I wrote a post about mindmapping and what a powerful and creative tool it can be. “Whether it be in time management, planning and following through on a project, or in academic pursuits, your efficiency and effectiveness are greatly enhanced when you can see the terrain as clearly and comprehensively as possible. And, as many have discovered, a picture is worth a thousand words!”

The “picture” that mindmaps most often use is based on the Radial Tree method of displaying information.  And what Spicynodes offers is an easy and intuitive software interface for creating these radial trees! As they note on their website:

Sometimes users know exactly what they’re looking for, and sometimes they only have a general idea. With Spicynodes, you can organize morsels of information in a way that makes sense to your visitors, and display the morsels as nodes in a radial layout. It’s nonlinear, and much more like real life.

Indeed, it is like a Mindmap!

Here is a sample of a Spicynode that my VA created quickly, to reflect information from my post last week about Daylight Saving Time:

Note how flexible the format is, and how intuitively it displays information.  Your Spicynodes are searchable, so your readers can easily zero in on exactly what they seek.   A nice feature, too, when you add a Spicynode to your blog, is that there is the capacity to display the information in full screen mode, then quickly return to your blog by pressing the Esc key.

The possibilities are rich, aren’t they?  Can’t you just see the potential?

Disclosure of Material Connection: I have no material connection with Spicynodes, and have not received any compensation for writing this content.

  1. Thanks, Paula. I had a lot of fun clicking on the elements of your Spicymode sample and moving them around. What a great tool for collaboration!

  2. Hi Alison – I’m glad you liked it. There are so many possibilities! I’ll be curious to hear what you think if/when you try creating a node or two …

  3. I’ve been playing with SpicyNodes for the last few weeks and am using them in my upcoming class. They’re the coolest thing, aren’t they? And since I’m not exactly the world’s greatest visual artist, they’ve given me much more exciting mind maps and ways to help others see the very complex ideas I sometimes put out.

    Thanks for sharing an example!

love and light, hugs and blessings

  4. Hi MamaRed – It’s great to hear your enthusiasm about Spicynodes, and, as a teacher myself, I can certainly imagine them lending themselves wonderfully to the classroom. So many amazing tools out there – and it’s truly a gift when we find ones that resonate for us and extend the possibilities.

I would love to see an example of what you’re doing with Spicynodes sometime.

Here’s to you and your time success!
