Finesse for Dropbox — Declutter to Save Precious Space and Time

Finesse Schedule Image

Use Finesse for scheduling Dropbox deletions.

Finesse is a web app for Dropbox that lets you schedule files for deletion.

If you’re a Dropbox user, you know how quickly files can accumulate there. And if you’re like most people, finding time to declutter your Dropbox is a chore that isn’t at the top of your priority list.

So, that’s where Finesse comes in.

You can access it at this link, and the set-up is very straightforward.

Finesse — What it Does

When you click the link, you’ll be asked to sign in with your Dropbox account.

Next, you’ll need to click the button to allow the app to have access to your Dropbox account.

Your next step is to click on the “Schedule” tab. This is where you select files that you want to delete and then select the date/time you want this to take place.

If you want, you can select multiple files to be scheduled for deletion at the same time and on the same day.

Finesse — There’s More

On the tab that says “Scheduled” you can review everything that you’ve got slated for deletion. Here, too, you can update the date and time that a file will be deleted. These edits can be made any time before it is removed.

And you needn’t panic if you delete something you hadn’t meant to!  Deleted files just go to your Dropbox Trash folder and can be restored within 30 days.

On the “History” tab you can view all files that you’ve deleted via the app.

All in all, I think you’ll find Finesse helpful and easy to use. The navigation looks and works just like Dropbox so you get comfortable with it pretty fast.
