Productivity tools, at their best, help you streamline your work and make the most of the time you have available. And yet sometimes it can feel like there are so many productivity tools out there — and so many new ones being developed every day — that the sheer volume can be overwhelming.
If you step back and think about it, it’s quite possible that we lose more time looking for productivity tools than we save by using them. So, I am careful about the productivity tools and websites that I share with readers here. I certainly don’t want to point you toward something that doesn’t look like it’s really going to help.
So, with that in mind, I do want to tell you about a website called iTools.
Here’s what they offer, in their own words: “We find and share the best tools to get whatever you want done, simply.”
The site is arranged in 5 categories: Search, Language, Media, Internet, and Money. In each category, there are sub-categories that allow you to dig down and explore sites in greater detail.
One of the features that I like best is the tag-cloud at the bottom of the main page on the site. It allows you to click on a tag that’s more specific to the productivity tools you’re looking for.
You can also search for a tool or tool category. Another nice feature is accessible in the lists of “Featured,” “New,” and/or “Popular” tools. Here, when you hover over the name of a tool, you are presented with a helpful description of the tool via a drop-down.
So, I invite you to explore iTools to find productivity tools that will help you make the most of your day.
And speaking of productivity … if procrastination is something that holds you back, keep your eye out for a special offer from Finding Time — one that I’m very excited to be sharing with you!
Starting tomorrow, if you’re part of the Finding Time Community, you’ll be receiving more information in your in-box. (And if you don’t already receive our e-mails but would like to, just sign up for the Finding Time Success Kit — right in the sidebar, or right here — and you’ll be on your way!)
