Relax and Enjoy Your Holiday Moments — Affirmations Help

Affirmations are transformative…

Making time in your life to relax is often a challenge. And this is often especially true during the holiday season. Some people even experience the pressure to relax and enjoy this time as debilitating.

And the truth is, if you are not able to relax, there’s a good possibility that stress will drain your moments of their joy and meaning.

So, today I’d like to explore the power of affirmations. Using them will help you let down and relax, no matter what.  They offer a profound shift of perspective that, in turn, enables you to let go of the inevitable stresses and strains that come with this busy time of year.

So, read, relax, and enjoy

To get started, let’s scan your self-care baseline.  Ask yourself these questions, and jot down your answers to make them more concrete and real for you:

  1. Do I have relaxation time in my time management plan at all?
  2. What specific activities do I find relaxing?  Brainstorm a list.
  3. Now, how will I carve out 20 minutes a day for relaxing?  And how will I spend that time? Write this down as a commitment to yourself.

Affirmations to help you relax …

Next, here are some affirmations that you can use in all kinds of situations.  Portable and powerful, they will encourage you to relax, and help you take in the fundamental importance of this self-care skill.

Make sure that you tweak and adapt these for yourself. Affirmations work best when they are personal to YOU.

  • I create an atmosphere of calm and relaxation in my life.
  • Instead of waiting for a time to relax, I create this time for myself.
  • I make time for special activities that I find relaxing.
  • When I set aside time to do the things that recharge my spirit, I become a more centered person.
  • I’m important, and I allow myself to rearrange my schedule to make me a high priority. I make time for myself.
  • I actively seek out relaxation in my life.
  • My time and my schedule are important; however, my serenity and relaxation are equally important to me.
  • I purposefully make time to step away from my busy life and simply breathe in calmness.
  • Today I choose to create the time I need to seek relaxation. I will schedule this time for myself.

Here’s more help for you…

I hope that you find these affirmations helpful and use them to relax, as you need to, during this holiday season.

So, do you ever feel like you’re running on empty and there are no gas stations anywhere to be found? That’s what it’s like when you aren’t taking care of yourself.

It’s an awful feeling, and one that’s all too familiar for many of us. In fact, if I had to guess, I’d say that finding time for self-care is one of the biggest challenges going. And I’ve created an E-Guide that addresses this challenge and offers you a path to creating your own, rejuvenating self-care routines and rituals. It’s titled “Self-Criticism or Self-Care? How Your Choices Define You, Your Time, and Your Life.”

This E-Guide gets right down to business as it offers questions, insights and exercises aimed at helping you come to a deeper understanding of:

  • What gets in your way when it comes to taking care of yourself.
  • How your capacity for compassion is connected to self-care.
  • The activities that are most nurturing for you, and how to include them in your schedule, EVERY day.
