Evernote Apps: Intriguing New Time-Saving Tools

Evernote Apps for EfficiencyEvernote is a powerful on-line tool that helps with collecting, saving … and then finding … all sorts of things, from photos to articles to documents you create.

You name it and Evernote gives you a place to put it (and then retrieve it when you need it).

Over the months, as Evernote has evolved, tweaks have been added to its repertoire. These have been excellent additions, like giving you the ability to:

  • Add reminders to Evernote – so you won’t miss deadlines. Access important information when you know you’ll need it!
  • Use Evernote Clearly to convert ‘busy’ web documents to easy-to-read versions.
  • And so much more …

Evernote has been a major help with the Ultimate Blog Challenge. Once we decided to do the Challenge, we started stockpiling ideas in Evernote and then scheduling reminders for when we wanted to work with those ideas. It relieves so much stress and puts what we need right at our fingertips!

So today I want to share about information about some new apps developed to work with Evernote. These (and other apps) were created as part of a contest sponsored by Evernote.  It’s called Devcup and it gives developers a chance to put their creativity and ingenuity on display as they develop apps that run on the Evernote platform.

3 Groundbreaking Apps: Evernote’s 2013 Devcup Winners is the article that spotlights the winners.

The first place app – Postach.io – offers the capacity to blog directly from Evernote.  (We may try it later, as part of the Ultimate Blog Challenge.) It sounds simple and fast, and if you use Evernote, not just for notes and links but for creating finished documents, this looks like a very powerful tool.

The second place app is called Context Booster and it looks to be a real time-saver. What is does is supply you with additional articles, photos and videos from all over the web, based on the tags that you add to your Evernote entries.

And the third place Evernote app is called Biscuit. Biscuit offers a quick and easy way to get definitions … and so much more.  Here’s a video that demonstrates what it can do:

Here at The Time Finder we love Evernote and look forward to exploring these new apps to see how they will help us find more time.

  3. I love Evernote. I use it to save ideas for my blogposts and newsletters. I know I’m not using it to its full potential though. I didn’t know about the reminder feature. I’ll definitely have to look into using Evernote more.
    Thanks so much sharing, Paula.

  4. Thank you for reminding me about Evernote. A writer friend mentioned it in passing several months ago, but I didn’t remember the name of it, and hadn’t asked about it. I appreciate the ideas on ways Evernote can help me with my blogging, and other writing. Thanks.

    • HI Nita – and I hope you find Evernote helpful as you move ahead. It takes practice at first – as with any of these tools. But we’re finding it really helpful here! 😉

  5. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your articles
as long as I provide credit and sources back to your webpage?
My website is in the exact same area of interest as yours and my users would genuinely benefit from a lot
of the information you provide here. Please let me know if this ok with you.

    Cheers!
